Justin Duty Sweeps Fall Frenzy at Willamette
Lucas Oil Knoxville Late Model Nationals Up Next
Mulino, Oregon (09/04/19) – Justin Duty broke out the broom on the Super Late Model competition over the weekend at Oregon’s Willamette Speedway. He made a clean sweep of both nights of the track’s annual Fall Frenzy in his Don Frank Floors No. 15 XR1 Rocket Chassis/ Pro Power Racing Engine Super Late Model.
With the victories he increased his 2019-win total to four. He’s also now won three of his last four events.
“We couldn’t have scripted the weekend to have gone any better,†Duty commented. “As I mentioned after our last win, we’ve made some major gains in our program over the past few months, and it’s showed with our on-track performances. We’re going to take this weekend to go over every nut and bolt in the car to make sure we’re ready to heat the ground running next week in the Knoxville Late Model Nationals.

On Friday evening Justin Duty visited Willamette Speedway (Lebanon, Oregon), where he returned to the driver’s seat of his Don Frank Floors No. 15 Super Late Model entry. Drawing 15 cars for the opening round of the two-day Fall Frenzy, Duty registered the fastest lap in time trials before finishing second in his heat race. Capturing his third win of the season in the feature, Justin topped Steve Moore, Jeremy Shank, Doug Elkins, and Kye Frick to pick up the $1,200 payday.
Returning on Saturday afternoon for the second leg of the event, Justin followed up the third fastest time in qualifying with a runner-up finish in his heat race. Building more than a three second margin by the time he crossed the line in the finale, Justin Duty charged to his fourth win of the season over Jeremy Shank, Steve Moore, Jeff Rash, and Randy Boyd. He earned a $1,200 paycheck for his dominant performance in the 30-lap affair.

The team now turns their attention to next weekend’s Lucas Oil Knoxville Late Model Nationals at Knoxville Raceway (Knoxville, Iowa). The event, scheduled for September 12-14, roars to life on Thursday and Friday night with $6,000-to-win races each night. On Saturday evening a $40,000-to-win finale is on the docket.
