Tyler Erb Races to Trio of Top-10 Finishes
49th Annual World 100 Comes to Life This Weekend

St. Marys, Ohio (09/04/19) – Tyler Erb finally was finally able to shake the monkey from his back over the weekend and came away with a trio of Top-10 finishes in his Industrial Resourcing Group No. 1 XR1 Rocket Chassis/ Durham Racing Engine Super Late Model.

"On one hand I'm bummed because I feel like I let some wins get away from us this weekend, but on the other hand, we finally had a weekend with no mechanical failures and we were really consistent, so that's a definite plus," Erb commented. "Hopefully we can go to Eldora Speedway this coming weekend and win some globes."

Tyler Erb kicked off a tripleheader weekend with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) on Friday night at Kentucky's Ponderosa Speedway.

A capacity crowd was on hand for the $12,000-to-win event, and Tyler finished sixth in his heat race to earn the 17th-starting spot for the 50-lap feature. In the main event, the driver known as "Terbo" turned on the booster and passed 12 competitors to register a fifth-place finish behind Tim McCreadie, Tanner English, Jonathan Davenport and Don O'Neal. For his efforts he received both the Optima Batteries Hard Charger of the Race Award as well as the Eibach Springs Rookie of the Race Award.

On Saturday evening the annual Bob Miller Memorial took center stage at Portsmouth Raceway Park (Portsmouth, Ohio), where competitors were pursuing a $12,000 winner's check. With 30 entries on hand, Tyler blazed to the fastest lap in Miller Welders Time Trials. He went on win his heat race to earn the pole position for the 50-lap finale.

As the race went green Tyler slipped to the second spot as fellow-front-row starter Jonathan Davenport jumped to the lead. Erb went on to run in a podium spot for much of the feature before registering a fourth-place finish behind Davenport, Josh Richards, and Tim McCreadie.

The three-race weekend drew to a close on Sunday evening at West Virginia's Tyler County Speedway, where the 51st annual Hillbilly Hundred came to life. With a $30,000 winner's check on the line, Tyler qualified fastest in his group before notching a runner-up finish in his heat race.

Starting the finale in the sixth position, Erb ran in the Top-10 throughout the event. At the checkered flag he was found in position No. 10.

Tyler is currently fourth in the latest LOLMDS standings and continues to lead the Eibach Springs Rookie of the Year standings. For complete results from the weekend, please visit www.LucasDirt.com .

The team now turns its attention to a home game kind of weekend as they enter the 49th annual World 100 at the famed Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio). Located just a short distance from their shop, Erb has enjoyed strong runs at the oval in his career, including a fifth-place finish at the Dirt Late Model Dream back in June.

“Eldora is a place that I absolutely love. From the track to the fans to pretty much everything, it’s one awesome place, and there’s nothing like the World 100,” Erb shared.

The weekend opens on Thursday and Friday with twin $10,000-to-win features each night, and on Saturday night the weekend concludes with a $52,000-to-win finale.

For anyone unable to attend the event will be broadcast all weekend live via pay-per-view at both www.DirtOnDirt.com and www.EldoraSpeedway.com .
