David Breazeale Clinches 2019 Southern All Star Title
Coors Light Fall Classic at Whynot Motorsports Park Next
Laurel, Mississippi (10/15/19) – David Breazeale officially claimed his first-ever Southern All Star (SAS) Dirt Racing Series Championship over the weekend. His maiden acquisition of the series’ title came on the heels of a Top-10 finish on Saturday night in the season finale at Talladega Short Track in his L&D Trucking No. 10 Longhorn Race Car/ Cornett Thunder Racing Engine Super Late Model.
“First and foremost I want to thank the Henderson family for their generosity to have me drive their car this year. They have always been incredibly supportive of my racing career, and they are like family to me. I also want to say a very special thanks to my crew, Wayne, Brandon, and Cory, for keeping the car ready to be a contender each and every night,†Breazeale said. “We decided to do something a little different this year and go after the SAS title and everything worked out great.â€
David Breazeale and the Henderson Motorsports team traveled to Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Alabama) on Saturday night for the Southern All Star Series season-finale. Coming one spot shy of a Top-5 finish in the $4,200-to-win B.J. Parker Memorial A-Main, David crossed the finish line in the sixth position in the 42-lap affair.
With his performance on Saturday, Breazeale secured the 2019 Southern All Star Series point's title.

The team has one event remaining on the 2019 docket as they set their sights on the 25th Annual Coors Light Fall Classic at Mississippi’s Whynot Motorsports Park on October 25-26. On Friday night the field will be divided into a pair of $2,500-to-win programs, while Saturday night posts a $15,000 top prize for the finale.
Breazeale won this event in 2005 and 2016.
