Logan Roberson Crowned FASTRAK World Challenge Champion
LOLMDS Dirt Track World Championship Next on the Schedule
Waynesboro, Virginia (10/15/19) – Logan Roberson added another accolade to the treasure chest over the weekend. The Virginia hot shoe was crowned the 2019 FASTRAK World Challenge Champion for his performance in his Wynbridge Inc. No. 17 RBS Auto Sales/ BTS Towing Service/ XR1 Rocket Chassis Crate Late Model.
“It’s pretty cool to claim the FASTRAK World Challenge Championship and the $5,000 that comes with it. I would’ve loved to have won it outright on Saturday night, but Mother Nature had other ideas, so they went off Friday night’s results for the final rundown, and we were awarded the win,†Roberson noted.
“Now, I can’t begin to describe how excited I am to head into battle in my first-ever Dirt Track World Championship this weekend with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series. This is truly a dream-come-true opportunity. Thanks so much to everyone, who is making this possible.â€
Logan Roberson visited I-77 Speedway (Ripley, West Virginia) on Friday evening for the opening round of the two-day FASTRAK World Challenge. Drawing 22 entries, Roberson recorded the fifth-fastest lap in his time trial group before picking up a heat race victory.
Starting the $2,000-to-win opening night feature in the second position, Logan dropped one spot in the 40-lapper to finish third behind Zack Dohm and Tyler Carpenter with Freddie Carpenter and Walker Arthur rounding out the Top-5.
After Mother Nature axed Saturday night’s $5,000-to-win finale, Logan was crowned the 2019 FASTRAK World Challenge Champion based on his performance from Friday’s program. He earned a $5,000 payday.
