Jake Knowles Crowned Durrence Layne Chevrolet DLMS 2019 Champion
Series Finale at Magnolia Rained Out
Rome, Ga. (11/26/19) – Jake Knowles was officially crowned the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series 2019 National Champion today, following the cancellation of this weekend’s Series finale at Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Miss.
“It’s been an awesome year and a lot of long hours but it’s all paid off and I cannot thank everyone enough that has helped me accomplish this Championship,†Knowles said. “Thank you to all my sponsors we definitely couldn’t have pulled it off without each of your help! Congratulations to all the drivers on their season. It was a lot of fun racing with y’all and we had some good times hanging out with all of you! Looking forward to 2020!â€
In 17 events on the tour, Jake claimed seven victories, earned 14 top-five finishes, along with 17 top-ten performances in the Knowles Race Parts & Bodies No. 66 Phillips Properties/ Josh Roberts Trucking/ Coosa Heating & Cooling/ Longhorn Chassis Late Model.
For his title, Knowles will receive a $10,000 check at the Durrence Layne Racing awards banquet on January 25, 2020 in Gatlinburg, Tenn.

This puts a wrap on the 2019 season for Jake Knowles. The team tentatively plans to open their 2020 season with the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series, January 29th thru February 1st, at East Bay Raceway Park in Tampa, Fla.
