Nick Deal Soars to First Win of the Season at Shelby County
Pilots Karl Getzschman-Owned No. 18 to Victory
WALNUT, Iowa (06/11/20) – Nick Deal returned to the driver’s seat on Saturday night for the first time since the Wild West Shootout at Arizona Speedway early January.
Nick’s return was a triumphant one, piloting the Karl Getzschman-owned No. 18 All Makes Collision/ Visible Signs/ Rocket Chassis to victory at Shelby County Speedway in Harlan, Iowa.
“A big thank you to Karl Getzschman and his family enough for letting me wheel their hot rod tonight,†Deal said as he and the team celebrated in Victory Lane. “They’ve been so welcoming. “I haven’t raced since January and to come out and get the win the first night back, it’s a great feeling. Thank you to all the sponsors who support Karl’s team and my team as well.â€
Passing two cars in his heat race, Deal secured his spot into the main event with a heat race victory. Outrunning pole-sitter Sterling Perkins, Nick soared to his first win of the season over Perkins, Todd Bell, Robbie Jorgensen, and Eric Wolf Jr.
