Josh Putnam raced into a busy holiday weekend on Friday night with a trip to Paducah (Ky.) International Raceway for the $10,000-to-win DIRTcar Summer Nationals event.
With 24 Super Late Models in action, he finished fifth in his heat race to lock into the 14th-starting spot for the feature. Josh would go on to advance to an eighth-place finish.
Saturday night DIRTcar Summer Nationals competition brought the team to Clarksville (Tenn.) Speedway for another $10,000-to-win program. Josh enjoyed a great night with a seventh-to-third charge in the feature behind Brian Shirley and Payton Freeman with Bobby Pierce and Christian Hanger rounding out the Top-5 finishers.
Action shifted to Duck River Raceway Park (Shelbyville, Tenn.) on Sunday evening for the unsanctioned $3,000-to-win program. From the pole position Putnam charged to his fourth win of the year, which came over Jadon Frame, Christian Hanger, Heath Hindman, and Brad Skinner.
The team's busy weekend drew to a close on Monday night as Josh made his first start at Beckley (W.V.) Motor Speedway in the $20,000-to-win Beckley USA 100.
Thirty-six XR Southern All Star (SAS) Super Late Model competitors entered the event.
