SUCCESS, Miss. (02/11/25) – The second week of the DIRTcar Nationals couldn’t have started any better for Chase Holland, as the Mississippi driver earned a Modified feature win and a coveted Gator trophy at Volusia Speedway Park.

Holland parked his Industrial Dock & Door / West Trucking / Neises Motorsports No. 45 Mars Race Cars Modified in Victory Lane at the half-mile oval to claim the $1,000 preliminary payday.

“Man, my nerves are shot and I’m speechless,” Holland said. “I never imagined we’d be able to get one, especially the first three nights of not being able to make it into the show. It’s incredible, and I can’t thank the good Lord and all my sponsors enough.”

Holland joined a whopping field of 102 DIRTcar UMP Modifieds at the half-mile track in Barberville, Florida, on Monday, necessitating six 20-lap feature events. After qualifying, Holland found himself on the pole for his feature. He wired the field in his No. 45 machine en route to the $1,000 victory, taking the checkered flag just 0.275 seconds ahead of Todd Neiheiser. Third place went to Evan Taylor, with Austin Holcombe and Troy Johnson rounding out the top five.

A total of 103 Modifieds packed the pit area on Tuesday and Wednesday, meaning there were six more $1,000-to-win features each night.

On Wednesday, Holland rolled off 14th in his 15-lap feature race and had climbed to the sixth spot in the early stages before coming home ninth.

The next night, Holland started ninth and finished fifth in his 20-lapper. He chased Michael Long, Cole Czarneski, Charlie Mefford and David Stremme across the start-finish line.

After turning in a fifth-place finish on Thursday, the Modified field was elevated to 107 participants on Friday, with the night’s $1,000-to-win races doubling as qualifiers for Saturday’s Big Gator Championship Feature. Holland started fourth and came home fifth in his 20-lap feature race, trailing Spalding, Charlie Mefford, Colton Profitt and Dustin Sorensen at the start-finish line.

Although Holland finished outside the top three and couldn’t secure a spot in the next night’s main event, he did earn a strong third-place starting position in his Last Chance Showdown.

On Saturday, 71 Modifieds were still on the property seeking the $5,000 Gator Championship Feature win. Holland finished third in his Last Chance Showdown, one spot shy of an automatic transfer into the finale. However, he still earned a start in the 30-lap A-Main. Holland made the most of the opportunity as he advanced an impressive 17 positions from 31st to finish 14th.

During the DIRTcar Nationals, Holland scored his first win of the year, along with a total of four top-five and five top-10 finishes.
