Matt Dooley Rules Pollard Memorial at Senoia Raceway
Southern Raceway’s Easter Race Up Next
BROOKS, Ga. (04/15/25) – After mechanical trouble dashed his hopes of his first victory just one week earlier, Matt Dooley returned to Senoia Raceway on Saturday night with a point to prove—and he delivered.
The Brooks, Georgia native bagged the $2,000 Hence and Reba Pollard Memorial victory in his WesPro JCB Atlanta / Crown Security / Scott’s Machine No. 18 Rocket Chassis Crate Late Model.
“It feels great to finally get the monkey off our back,” Dooley said after the win. “We’ve had plenty of speed this year, but the results just haven’t fallen our way until now. I’m incredibly thankful for the crew that’s stuck with me through it all, and for the continued support from our sponsors. I couldn’t do this without them.”
Dooley’s weekend started with a trip to Penton (Ala.) Raceway on Friday evening to compete with Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series for the Sammy Cooper Classic.
With the 20-car field separated into two groups for time trials, Dooley laid down the third-fastest time in his group, locking him on the third row for the $7,000-to-win A-Main. After challenging for the top-five early, Matt was collected in a tangle that brought an early end to his night.
Shifting his focus to the 604 Late Model division on Saturday night, Matt Dooley made the trip to Senoia (Ga.) Raceway for the Hence and Reba Pollard Memorial. Following the fifth-fastest qualifying time, Dooley started the feature from the third row and wasted little time charging to the front. He powered past Ty Ellis on the eighth circuit and never looked back, cruising to his first victory of the 2025 season.
The Georgia native earned a $2,000 payday for his efforts, crossing the finish line ahead of Colby Darda and Carson Ruark.

Dooley now turns his attention to the Southern Thunder Super Dirt Series as the regional tour rolls into Southern Raceway for its annual Easter Race. Saturday’s program is highlighted by a $10,000-to-win main event.
