Dennis Erb, Jr. Heads into Alabama Gang 100 Fresh Off Pair of Podiums at 34 Raceway

(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) A trio of MARS Racing Series contests in the Hawkeye State greeted the #28 team from April 17-19 and Dennis Erb, Jr. was able to amass a pair of podium efforts and an additional top ten finish. Last Thursday night in the opener at Cedar County Raceway in Tipton, Iowa, Dennis advanced to fifth in his heat race prior to grabbing the second transfer spot through his B-Main. The Carpentersville, Illinois ace then picked off twelve competitors during the $5,000 to win main event to claim a solid eighth place performance.

The annual running of the 'Slocum 50' was up next for the team, as they ventured to 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Iowa for a doubleheader weekend. In Friday's $5,000 to win program, Dennis won his heat race in preliminary action prior to finishing a close runner-up in the 40-lap feature behind only victor Bobby Pierce.

On Saturday evening, the 17th Annual 'Slocum 50' finale took center stage and a $10,555 payday was up for grabs. Dennis clicked off the second fastest time in his group during qualifying, won his heat race once again, and later rounded out the podium in third - after fifty green flag circuits - behind only feature winner Pierce and runner-up Carson Ferguson! Full results from all three MARS battles can be viewed online at www.marsracingseries.com.

The Dennis Erb Racing team will rejoin the World of Outlaws Real American Beer Late Model Series on April 25-26 at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, Alabama. Night one of the annual ‘Alabama Gang 100’ will shell out a $12,000 first place prize later this evening. Saturday’s 100-lap grand finale at TST will then boast a whopping $50,000 winner’s check. Dennis comes into the lucrative doubleheader tenth in the national touring series point standings. More information can be found online at www.woolms.com or watch each night LIVE on DIRTVision.
