Dennis Erb, Jr. Nabs Pair of Top Tens in Southeast; Readies for MARS Double-Dip

(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) Dennis Erb Racing ventured to the Southeast from September 11-13 for a trio of high-profile events in the states of Tennessee and Georgia. Up first was the 'Scott Bloomquist Memorial' last Thursday night at Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tennessee. Dennis Erb, Jr. ran eighth in his loaded heat race prior to grabbing the third and final transfer spot through his B-Main. After rolling off from the inside of the eleventh row in the $20,000 to win FloRacing Night in America Series headliner, Dennis blasted past thirteen competitors during the 50-lap contest to land in the eighth finishing position.

A pair of World of Outlaws Real American Beer Late Model Series shootouts then took center stage over the weekend in the Peach State. On Friday evening at Needmore Speedway in Norman Park, Georgia, Dennis placed third in his heat race and seventh in the final rundown of the $12,000 to win main event. With a $15,000 top prize up for grabs in Saturday's finale at Senoia Raceway in Senoia, Georgia, Dennis finished sixth in his heat race, fifth in his B-Main, and eighteenth in the 50-lapper.

Exiting the trio of Southeastern ovals, the Carpentersville, Illinois native now sits seventh in the latest FloRacing Night in America Series point standings and sixth in the World of Outlaws Late Model Series point battle. Full results from the tripleheader weekend can be found online by clicking on www.floseries.com and www.woolms.com.

With those two tours sitting idle on September 19-20, the #28 team will stay in the Land of Lincoln this weekend for a pair of MARS Late Model Championship Series programs. On Friday at the Brownstown Bullring in Brownstown, Illinois, the ‘Brownstown 100’ will take place and a $10,000 winner’s check will be on the line. At Peoria Speedway in Peoria, Illinois on Saturday, Dennis will vie for a $5,000 payday (plus lap money) in the 70th edition of the ‘Illinois State Championship.’ Watch both of these races LIVE on FloRacing or learn more online at www.marsracingseries.com.
