Kyle Hammer Conquers Fairbury for First Late Model Victory
Earns $2,500 FALS Cup During Pappy and Bob Allen Memorial
CLINTON, Ill. (June 23, 2026) — The wins continue to come for Kyle Hammer in 2026.
Hammer made history on Saturday, scoring his first career Super Late Model victory at Fairbury Speedway in the weekly FALS Cup event aboard his Elite Contracting Services / Hammer Crypto Hub No. 45 Longhorn Chassis.
The victory marked his third overall triumph of the season after previously visiting victory lane twice at nearby Farmer City Raceway.
“I thought that I messed up on that restart when Ryan got by,” Hammer said. “So, I messed up. I might have gotten him a little bit, but the track was rough. I really couldn’t turn down and get away from him. It feels great. It’s pretty cool to get the job done on Pappy and Bob Allen Memorial night. We've got a busy week in the shop coming up, but I’m ready to get back out there. Big thanks to all my sponsors for their support throughout the season.”
Hammer’s weekend started roughly 20 minutes from his Clinton, Illinois, shop, as the central Illinois native traveled to Farmer City Raceway for the seventh round of the DIRTcar Summer Nationals Hell Tour.
Hammer advanced into the $10,000-to-win A-Main with a third-place finish in his heat race, then muscled forward two spots in the 50-lap affair to bring home a fifth-place finish.
On Saturday at Fairbury Speedway for the 26th annual Pappy and Bob Allen Memorial, Hammer qualified mid-pack before improving one spot in his heat race to finish second. Taking the green from sixth in the FALS Cup feature, he charged forward early, took the lead on lap eight and won a mid-race battle over Ryan Unzicker to secure the $2,500 FALS Cup triumph.
Hammer crossed the finish line 1.803 seconds ahead of Unzicker, with Mike Spatola rounding out the podium.
