Dennis Erb Racing Returns to Action this Week in New York and Ohio
(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) Following a rare weekend off after the cancellation of the ‘Gopher 50’ at Deer Creek (MN) Speedway, Dennis Erb, Jr. and his #28 team will be in the states of New York and Ohio this week with the World of Outlaws Late Model Series. Up first will be a visit to Stateline Speedway in Busti, New York where a $15,000 top prize will be up for grabs later this evening, July 8. The action will then quickly turn to Sharon Speedway in Hartford, Ohio on July 10-11. Friday’s annual ‘Battle at the Border’ opener at Sharon Speedway will pay $12,000 to the winner, while the weekend finale on Saturday evening will boast a hefty $20,000 payday.
The Dennis Erb Racing team was last on the road with the World of Outlaws Late Model Series from June 22-30 at five different dirt ovals across the states of Minnesota and North Dakota. The best run for Dennis came on Sunday, June 28 at Nodak Speedway in Minot, North Dakota. Dennis finished third in his loaded heat race prior to passing four competitors during the rain-shortened feature to place fourth behind only $20,000 victor Bobby Pierce, Nick Hoffman, and Tim McCreadie!
Other finishes during the hectic stretch were a sixth on June 22 at Ogilvie (MN) Raceway, a seventeenth on June 24 at I-94 (MN) Speedway, a fifth on June 26 at River Cities (ND) Speedway, and a fifteenth on June 30 at Norman County (MN) Raceway. Dennis currently finds himself ninth in the latest version of the national series point standings heading into this week’s action.
