SHINNISTON, W.Va. (July 20, 2026) — Brandon Sheppard picked up another Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series victory Thursday night, racing to the win in the Malvern Bank Go 50 at Shelby County Speedway as part of the Al Belt Custom Homes Silver Dollar Nationals weekend.

The pilot of the Valvoline / Seubert Calf Ranches No. 1 Rocket Chassis Late Model followed the $15,000 triumph with a fifth-place finish in Saturday's $52,000-to-win finale.

"I was getting a heck of a show watching those two (Gustin and Moran) out front," Sheppard said. "They were racing each other hard there, and I just felt myself slipping in the top. At some point, I knew I was going to have to move down, and there was no better time than when those two were racing each other like that. I was running around trying to see if there was anything in the bottom because, in turns one and two especially, I was losing time up there. Then we got so deep into lapped traffic that it became harder to pass on the top. The bottom started to come in, and that's when I found a clean spot in turns three and four."

The Rocket1 Racing team opened the week on Tuesday with the Half Mile Hustle at Adams County Speedway, where Sheppard recorded a sixth-place finish in the 40-lap feature.

Action shifted 80 miles northwest to Shelby County Speedway on Thursday for the Malvern Bank Go 50. After winning his heat race, Sheppard charged from the third row and took advantage of a spirited battle between Ryan Gustin and Devin Moran up front, moving into the lead with six laps remaining. He paced the final circuits to secure the $15,000 victory in the Rocket1 Racing No. 1 Late Model, his 11th win of the season.

Friday's preliminary program featured dual heats with passing points determining the lineup, with Sheppard advancing from seventh to fourth in the opening round before charging from fifth to first in the second. The strong performances earned him a second-row starting spot for Saturday's $52,000-to-win Silver Dollar Nationals finale.

Sheppard wrapped up the weekend with a fifth-place finish in the 80-lap feature, extending his Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series points lead to 135 markers over Hudson O'Neal.
