Chatsworth, Ga late model rookie, and current Ultimate late model series points leader Chip Brindle continued to turn heads with a solid week of strong finishes from Virginia to Georgia. Running a schedule of Ray Cook's Southern National and O'Reilly Southern-All Star events, the Bryson Motorsports 21B team reeled off a string off solid finishes. Here's a recap of the weeks events.
Monday July 11th $3,500 to win Southern Nationals event Wythe Speedway. Qualified in the 8th starting spot and rode home 6th.
Tuesday July 12th $3,500 to win Southern Nationals event Carolina Speedway. Qualified 2nd and finished 4th.
Thursday July 14th $5,300 to win Southern Nationals event North Georgia Speedway. Qualified 6th, feature rained out and re-set for July 18th.
Friday July 15th, $4,000 to win OSAS event at Boyd's Speedway. Qualified 5th and charged home with a 3rd place finish.
Saturday July 16th $5,000 to win OSAS event at Cleveland Speedway. Rolled off from the 10th starting spot and finished a strong 5th.
Sunday July 17th $5300 to win Southern Nationals show at Rome Speedway. Started 5th, ran as high as third before a flat tire sidelined Chip running just outside the top five with five laps to go. The crew would change the tire, and Chip would finish 13th.
Monday July18th $5300 to win at North Georgia finished with another solid 4th place finish.
Plans as of now are to head to East Alabama, Cleveland, and Bulls Gap for the Ray Cook Southern Nationals events on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday nights, then it's off to Virginia Motor Speedway for the $10,000 Ultimate Late Model Series event.
