    Hunter Rasdon Takes First Victory of 2012 with Jackson Triumph

    Jonesboro, Arkansas (07/31/12) – Hunter Rasdon piloted his #r5 Mastersbilt/Jay D ickens Racing Engine Open Wheel Modified to his first feature win of the year on Saturday night at Jackson Motor Speedway (Byram, Mississippi).

    Team Country Pleasin' returned to action with Hunter Rasdon back in his #r5 Team Country Pleasin/Warrior/Vic Hill Racing Engine Super Late Model in the the $2,500-to-win, Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSCCS) Super Late Model event at Jackson Motor Speedway (Byram, Mississippi). Thirty-four Super Late Models passed through the pit gate, and in time trials Hunter was eighth fastest in his group, which resulted in him starting fourth in a b-main. He would race his way to a third place finish, which positioned him starting fourteenth in the 50 lap finale. Rason would race around mid-pack before registering a twelfth place finish in the final rundown.

    Rasdon would also pilot his own #r5 Team Country Pleasin/Mastersbilt/Jay D ickens Open Wheel Modified on the program. With a strong field of twenty-one competitors in action he stormed from the fifth starting spot in his heat race to claim the win, which locked him into the pole position for the feature. In the main event he would race to his first win of the 2012 season! He was followed across the finish line by Billy Collett, Charles Sibley, Toby Hodge, and Cliff Ross.

    "It's great to get a win in the Modified in just our second night out. I really want to get a win in this Super Late Model now, and if we can ever get the mechanical gremlins off our back, I think we can make it happen," commented Rasdon.

    On Sunday evening the team traveled to Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi) for a $2,000-to-win, Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSCCS) event. Hunter Rasdon was the only team driver in action as he took on a field of 32 competitors. He finished fifth in his b-main to earn the seventeenth starting spot in the main event.     Rasdon will enter a single event this weekend as the takes the #r5 Team Country Pleasin Super Late Model into battle in the 11th Annual James Nickoles Memorial at Columbus Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi) on Saturday night.
