Tony Knowles Collects Third Win of 2012 Season
Tyrone, Georgia (08/07/12) – Tony Knowles mounted a late-race charge on Saturday night in his #26 RSD Enterprises/SAE Parts/Rocket/Malcuit Racing Engine Super Late Model to claim the feature win at Dixie Speedway.
After a few weeks away from the track due to a busy work schedule, Tony made a triumphant return on Saturday night by winning at Dixie Speedway (Woodstock, Georgia). Twenty-one Super Late Models registered for action, and Knowles began his night by qualifying second fastest in time trials. With the top six qualifiers inverted for the feature, he started fifth in the main event. During the course of the main event he would methodically work his way to the front of the field before taking the lead with just three laps remaining. Knowles went on to lead the closing laps to record his third win of the season! He was followed across the finish line by Dale Thurman, Luther Jenkins, Michael Page, and Chip Brindle. "It's definitely not been any fun not getting to race much lately, but it definitely feels good to get into victory lane again. Hopefully work will slow down some and we can hit more races in the next few weeks," commented Knowles.
