Billy Ogle Jr. makes it two wins in a row

Knoxville, Tennessee – After countless number of second place finishes in 2012, Billy has now made it two wins in a row. Billy took his Blount Motorsports ride to victory lane in the Southern All-Stars event at Cleveland Speedway. Billy set fast time to earn the pole for the 35-lap race. He had to hold off a hard-charging Randy Weaver in the closing laps to seal the win.
“We know we have a good team, a good car and everything we needed to win, but there was something missing,†said Ogle. “I am not sure what it was or if it was any one thing that the crew found, but you start smiling before you get the car on the track because you know it is going to be good, really good.â€
Up next for Billy and the BMS team will be the annual Scorcher at Volunteer Speedway sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series. Fans of Billy can meet him and get an autograph at the Food City Race Night in Knoxville at the Knoxville Expo Center at the corner of Merchants Rd. and Clinton Hwy. Billy will have his new autograph cards to sign for all the fans that come by. His #201 will also be on display.
Blount Motorsports enjoys sponsorship from Arnold Trucking, Bearden Oil Company, Blount Excavating, Cherokee Millwright, GEOServices, Insurance Partners, Massey Electric, Stowers (CAT) Machinery Corp. and Wine and Spirits Cellar.
They race Rocket chassis (2012 Orange) with power from Custom Race Engines, Dyer’s Top Rods and Gibbs Oil. The shocks are from Öhlins, chassis and suspension components from TWM, drive train components from Quarter Master, Sunoco Race Fuel from Bearden Oil and tires from Hoosier Racing Tires.
