Henderson Motorsports Heads to West Virginia
Laurel, Mississippi (08/29/12) – Henderson Motorsports will make their first-ever trip this weekend to West Virginia for a pair of big events in the Mountaineer state.
Henderson Motorsports was last in action four weeks ago as the took part in the 11th Annual James Nickoles Memorial on Saturday night, August 4th at Columbus Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi), and it proved to be a solid outing as both Scott Creel and Leon Henderson came away with top ten finishes. Twenty-five competitors registered for action in the $5,000-to-win program, which was sanctioned by the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSCCS) Super Late Models. Scott Creel won his qualifier to lock into the ninth starting spot for the 50 lap feature, and then raced his way to a seventh place finish. Leon Henderson also earned a starting spot in the feature via preliminary action before advancing to a tenth place finish. Full results are available at www.ColumbusSpeedway.net .
After missing the past three weeks of action due to rain Scott Creel and Leon Henderson now turn their focus to Tyler County Speedway (Middlebourne, West Virginia) this Friday and Saturday night. The weekend opens on Friday night with an $8,000-to-win, UFO Super Late Model Series event. On Saturday evening the World of Outlaws (WoO) Super Late Model tour will sanction the Black Diamond 125. The unique format for the event includes the field being divided in half into separate $10,000-to-win events. The top ten finishers from each feature transfer to a $20,000-to-win bonus finale.
