Dale McDowell Wins Third Event of 2013; Spring Nationals Up Next
Welcome, North Carolina (04/09/13) – Dale McDowell and Austin Dillon traveled to North Georgia Speedway (Chatsworth, Georgia) on Saturday night for a $4,000-to-win, Ultimate Late Model Series event in their Team Dillon Racing Super Late Models.
Austin started the night by registering fast time honors in the thirty-two car field around the clay oval with a 12.999 second lap in his #3 TDR/Warrior/ECR Racing Engine Super Late Model, which locked him into the pole position for the 40 lap, feature event. Dillon grabbed the lead as the race went green, but it would be teammate and third starter, Dale McDowell, who took over the top spot as the field completed lap one. Dale went on to lead the remainder of the race to claim the win in his #17m TDR/Mastersbilt/Clements Racing Engine Super Late Model, which marked his third of the 2013 season! Austin raced in the top five for the duration of the event before crossing the finish line in the fourth spot.

Dale McDowell has a plan of events on the docket for this weekend as he will be in action in a $4,000-to-win program at Tri County Race Track (Brasstown, North Carolina) on Friday night and in a $6,000-to-win race at Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tennessee) on Saturday night.
