Daniel Baggerly Kicks Off 2013 Campaign Saturday at Smoky Mountain!
(RURAL RETREAT, VIRGINIA) Following a long off-season, things will heat up quickly for the B&B Motorsports team this Saturday night, April 13. Daniel Baggerly and his #16 team are scheduled to roll into the Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, Tennessee tomorrow evening for their 2013 season lid lifter. Ray Cook’s inaugural Spring Nationals tour will invade SMS to preside over a $6,000 to win program. The action-packed show will be headlined by a 50-lap feature event.
Daniel, who has been busy finishing up college and preparing to graduate, will not follow a particular series this year, but will instead simply pick and choose where he wants to compete. In recent seasons, Daniel has been a fixture on either the Ultimate Super Late Model Series, Schaeffer Oil Southern Nationals Series, and Southern All Stars Dirt Racing Series trail. The decision not to point race this year will allow the Rural Retreat, Virginia driver the opportunity to travel to some new racetracks, as well as the freedom to take a weekend off if his hectic schedule off the track deems it necessary. “We are looking forward to finally getting a chance to race this weekend at Smoky Mountain,†commented team owner Jim Baggerly earlier this week. “With Daniel’s school schedule and with all of the nasty weather we have had this Spring, things haven’t worked out to where we could race yet. But everything is ready to go for Smoky Mountain and we always enjoy the opportunity to race in one of Ray Cook’s shows. He puts on a great series and we like to support him whenever we can!â€
