Jeff Taylor Scores Second Win of 2013 Campaign

Cave City, Arkansas (05/14/13) - After a two month hiatus from the driver's seat, due to a busy slate of new Taylor Chassis being built, Jeff Taylor was finally able to return to action on Friday night at Batesville Motor Speedway (Locust Grove, Arkansas) in an Isle of Capri Weekly Racing Series Event. When the final checkered flag had dropped on the event he was parking in victory lane with his second win of the 2013 season in his #5 Jeff Taylor Racing/Industrial Electric/Provence Construction/New Vision Graphics/Taylor Chassis/Mullins Race Engines Open Wheel Modified.

He started the night by winning his heat race, which resulted in him starting eighth on the grid for the feature event. Despite starting deep in the field he raced his way to the front of the pack to claim the win over Jason Wilkey, James Emerson, Adam Maple, and Rick Engles. Full results are available at www.BatesvilleMotorSpeedway.net .

"I've been crazy busy the past few months building race cars, and it felt good just to get back behind the wheel, much less win," noted an elated Taylor. "I look forward to racing more in the next few weeks as we try to top what we were able to accomplish in 2012."

While the team is unsure if they will race anywhere this weekend, they are busily preparing to race in the Advantage RV Modified Series over the Memorial Day weekend. The tour begins on Thursday, May 23rd at Norman County Speedway (Ada, Minnesota) before moving to I-94 Speedway (Fergus Falls, Minnesota) on Friday night and concluding at Jamestown Speedway (Jamestown, North Dakota) on Saturday evening. Taylor will then take part in a $3,000-to-win program at Buffalo Speedway (Glyndon, Minnesota) on Sunday, May 26th.
