Austin Hubbard Races to Camp Barnes Checkers; Busy Weekend Next
Seaford, Delaware (07/11/13) - Austin Hubbard powered his #11 Trinity Logistics/Mastersbilt by Huey/Cornett Racing Engine Super Late Model to his third victory of the 2013 campaign on Tuesday evening with a triumph in the 41st Annual Camp Barnes Benefit at Delaware International Speedway (Delmar, Delaware).
Twenty Super Late Models entered the $3,000-to-win program, and after registering the quickest lap in hot laps Hubbard raced to the win in his heat race. For the feature an invert of "0" was drawn so Austin started outside-front-row alongside David Hill. Early in the feature Hubbard ran in second before bolting to the lead shortly after a lap 5 restart. He went on to lead the remainder of the 25 lapper to score the victory over Ricky Elliott, Amanda Whaley, Mark Pettyjohn, and Mark Byram.
"It feels good to win anywhere, but it especially feels good to win at home in front of so many great fans and sponsors," noted Hubbard. "This win is dedicated to all of them."
Full results from the event are available at www.DelawareRacing.com .
The upcoming weekend will see Hubbard Motorsports heading to Pennsylvania and Virginia for a pair of events.
