Ashley Newman Goes Two-For-Two in 2014
Mercer, Tennessee (03/15/14) – Ashley Newman went two-for-two on the 2014 season over the weekend with his second win in as many events. Newman piloted the #73 Upton Motorsports/Greg's Sawmill/Bob Pierce Late Model to the $1,000 triumph on Saturday night at Tennessee National Raceway (Hohenwald, Tennessee).
Newman started his weekend on Friday evening by blazing to fast time honors. He then won his heat race to lock into the pole starting spot for Saturday night's finale. The feature event found him motoring away from the pack as he lapped over half the field on his way to the victory!
"Another event and another great car," Newman enthusiastically said in victory lane. "Again got to give hats off to my car owners, crew, and sponsors for their support and hard work."

While Newman is currently unsure, where he will race this weekend his teammate, Kyle Beard will be taking his #86 Upton Motorsports/Greg's Sawmill/ Gary Beard Trucking/Bob Pierce/Jay D ickens Super Late Model into battle on Saturday evening at Springfield Raceway (Springfield, Missouri). the Mid America Racing Series (MARS) Super Late Model event is slated to pay $3,000-to-win.
