Kinzer Motorsports Gears Up for Memorial Day Weekend Triple Shot

(ALLEN, KENTUCKY) Brandon Kinzer and his #18 team made the short journey to 201 Speedway in Sitka, Kentucky on Friday evening, May 16 for the 'Moonshine Runner 50.' The World of Outlaws Late Model Series made their first-ever visit to the eastern Kentucky venue and a $10,000 winner's check was on the line. A total of 39 entrants piled into the pit area and Brandon started his night by posting the eighth fastest lap in Group B during the qualifying session.

When heat races rolled onto the track, Brandon earned the third transfer spot through his prelim, as he trailed only winner Darrell Lanigan and runner-up Eric Wells. After starting the 50-lap main event from the outside of the sixth row, Brandon quickly moved up inside of the top ten and was looking for a strong top five run. Unfortunately, his #18 MB Customs mount was turned by Mike Marlar on the fourteenth circuit, which triggered a multi-car incident and left Brandon's machine with heavy damage. He was forced to retire from the 'Moonshine Runner 50' in the eighteenth position. Complete results from the WOOLMS visit to 201 Speedway can be viewed online at www.woolms.com.

The Kinzer Motorsports team is locked and loaded for the upcoming Memorial Day holiday weekend, as they plan on entering a trio of special events in the states of Georgia and Tennessee from May 23-25. On Friday night, the Boyd’s Speedway in Ringgold, Georgia will play host to a rain-postponed $4,000 to win Old Man’s Garage Spring Nationals Series battle. Next up for the #18 team will be a trip on Saturday evening to Tennessee National Raceway in Hohenwald, Tennessee for a Southern All Stars Dirt Racing Series (SAS) tilt, which also pays $4,000 to the winner. The tripleheader weekend will then conclude on Sunday with a Southern Nationals Bonus Race at Duck River Raceway Park in Wheel, Tennessee, which boasts a $5,000 payday. Additional information on all of these shows can be obtained by clicking on www.southernnationalsseries.com and www.sasdirt.com.
