Scott Groves Collects Pair of Top Ten Finishes; Dixie Next

Canton, Georgia (03/11/15) – Scott Groves enjoyed a solid weekend in his
Friends of the Dream #311 Zen Windows Racing/Warrior Super Late Model in his home state of Georgia, where he claimed a pair of top ten finishes.

“Right now we are focused on getting laps and learning these cars,” said Groves. “So to come away with our first-ever, top ten finishes means a lot to us. Hopefully we can continue to progress in our endeavors in the Super Late Model division.”

The weekend opened on Saturday night at Senoia Speedway (Senoia, Georgia) as the track hosted its grand re-opening. Scott posted the third fastest lap in qualifications, trailing Shane Clanton and Clint Smith to lock into the third starting spot for the feature. Competitors battled against adverse track conditions during the main event, and after running in the top five early Groves was forced to retire to a ninth place finish in the final rundown.

Action shifted to Lavonia Speedway (Lavonia, Georgia) on Sunday evening as the team made their first-ever visit to the 3/8-mile oval. The $4,000-to-win program was sanctioned by the ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series tour. Scott timed in twelfth quickest overall among the twenty-one entrants in his #311 entry, locking him into the twelfth starting spot on the feature grid. Despite heavy and rough track conditions, Groves advanced to a tenth place finish in his first-ever start with the tour, capping off a solid weekend with his second top ten finish.

The upcoming weekend will find Groves going into battle at Dixie Speedway (Woodstock, Georgia) on Saturday night in the Southeastern Classic, which will pay $5,000 to the victor. For more information on the event please visit www.DixieSpeedway.com .
