Ashley Newman Wires Late Model Field at Thunderhill
Ripley, Tennessee (11/16/15) – Ashley Newman scored a convincing win behind the wheel of his Upton Motorsports #73 Greg’s Sawmill/ Longhorn Late Model by wiring the field on Saturday evening at Thunderhill Raceway.
The Upton Motorsports team and Ashley Newman visited Thunderhill Raceway (Summertown, Tennessee) on Saturday night for the Spooktacular 2000. Powering his #73 Longhorn Late Model, Newman earned the pole position starting spot for the feature via preliminary action. With $1,022 on the line, Ashley drove away from the field as he led every lap of the feature, bringing home his ninth win of the 2015 season.
“This Longhorn Race Car is something else,†laughed Newman. “We are still learning a lot about it, but it seems like we get faster every time we take it to the track. I want to thank the Upton family, my sponsors, my crew, and my fans for helping make this possible.â€
