Rained out Dog Hollow FASTRAK NE Tour event rescheduled to June 8
RAIN WINS AT DOG HOLLOW; FASTRAK NE TOUR EVENT RESCHEDULED FOR JUNE 8

(Strongstown, PA)…Last Friday night cold, windy conditions forced Dog Hollow Speedway to postpone the Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC Pace Performance FASTRAK Northeast Late Model Touring Series event #3 one week. Friday dawned sunny and warm and stayed that way until about 6:30 p.m. when clouds started rolling in. Storms that had stayed well north eventually dropped south and hit the Strongstown, Pa. oval around 7:15 p.m. After waiting until 8 p.m. and with rain still falling and more rain on the way for later, the races had to be rained out.
It was a big disappointment for track owner Jim Michny, who had a very successful opening night on April 20, and was thrilled with a bulging pit area of some 145 cars including 33 FASTRAK Late Models, 32 Super Late Models, and 18 RaceSaver Sprints along with the support divisions.
The decision was made to reschedule the Northeast Touring event until Friday, June 8. This date will work well with both the track and FASTRAK. It’s an open weekend for the Northeast Touring Series and will allow June 15 to be an option as well. Obviously the June 8 date will feature a complete new redraw; however, all attending cars on Friday night will receive their 10 show-up points because pill draw had closed Friday night. Rain checks and entry fees will be honored.
