FASTRAK considers smaller regions in 2015!
FASTRAK CONSIDERS SMALLER REGIONS IN 2015
The FASTRAK Racing Series is taking into consideration to shrink, if you will, the regions in 2015. Something more along the line of 3-5 tracks competing for a championship between them versus how they are currently structured. "I have one goal" said Stan Lester of FASTRAK. "To put point money in as many hands as we can. We have to look out after everyone".
FASTRAK already has the largest point fund for crate late model dirt racing by, well lets say 'a ton'. Now with them basically inventing a way to pay a championship in smaller regions, will the growth of FASTRAK explode yet once again?
"I know some teams can't afford to come to the World Championship" said Lester. "I can remember those days well when I raced too. Anyone can afford to come to the regional play offs. If you have a crate late model and don't come to our "REGIONAL RACE OFFS" in September, well I'm just not sure what to say. Most of these teams have never ran for $10,000 to win. Most have never ran for $500 to start. There's really no excuse for not coming to the Regional Race offs. Like I stated earlier, everyone would love to come to the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP. Paying $20,000 to win and $1000 to start is unbelievable for crate racing, but its happening in October at Virginia Motor Speedway".
" We always look towards our teams and tracks to discuss options in the future. We have always included them or basically let them make the decisions, we just support it stated Brian Haynes of the series. "Stan is thinking every day of how to get money to more people. That's his goal and has become the goal of the company. We will figure it out. With the help of great teams like we have in FASTRAK, someone will come up with a great way to so this and do it right".
