DASHING LATE R1LEY HICKMAN WINS BOYD's WARMING-UP FOR S.A.S NEXT WEEK

Chattanooga, TN (7/8/11) --- The HUSTLER Riley Hickman (# R1) of Ooltewah, Tennessee made a late race dash to the checkered flag Friday night at Boyd's Speedway in the Late Model division. Passing fellow racer Lamar Scoggins inside five to-go the "Hickman Manufacturing, American Billet, Austin Trucking, Bodies by Hixson, RH Designs, Mayo Racing Components, AllStar Graphix, Hoosier Tire" sponsored, Racetek powered MasterSbilt driver made his second trip of the season to JODY MILLARD PEST CONTROL Victory Lane winning the 25 lap "A" Main Feature race. "We got here late, which set us behind" stated Hickman, who's taking a page outta mentor Ronnie Johnson's playbook. "...so I really wasn't expecting us to be here in the end. Gar and these guys do a great job on track prep, so we're looking forward to next weekends S.A.S races."
Hickman would start the feature 6th and quickly move into second behind Scoggins. Todd Morrow and Jamie Perry would battle and clash, late in the race as Hickman rolled underneath the leader with three to-go. The race was marred by only one yellow and the entire night of action was concluded around 9:30PM. Hickman has recently enjoyed a "hot-streak" that started last weekend at the Fort Payne (AL) Motor Speedway, winning the $2,500 FIRECRACKER 50 SLM race. The Riley Hickman Racing team can be followed online through facebook and new t-shirts are available at the big R1 hauler. Expect to see the team as early as Thursday pick up action as the Ray Cook SOUTHERN NATIONALS race rolls into North GA Speedway in Dalton/Chatsworth.
