Terry Phillips took the lead from John Anderson on lap 22 and drove to victory in the 35 lap $3,000 to win Super Late Model portion of the Midwest Trifecta at I-80 Speedway. By winning the race Phillips also guaranteed himself a spot in next months $25,000 to win Silver Dollar Nationals at I-80. The show was co-sanctioned by the Corn Belt Clash/MARS Dirt Car Series/Midwest Late Model Racing Association. Anderson finished second, Chad Simpson third, Jason O'Brien fourth and Chris Spieker fifth. 34 Super Late Models were in attendance
