16th Annual BAMA BASH Fast Approaching

Green Valley Speedway officials are preparing for the 16th Annual running of the BAMA BASH at the 3/8th’s mile speedplant, affectionately called “The Jungleâ€, located in Glencoe, Alabama.
To commemorate the 16th anniversary of the event, Super Late Model competitors will be vying for $16,016 to win and $1,016 to start in their feature event. Other divisions in action include Sportsman(LLM), Crate Late Models, Outlaw Thunder, Kajun Mini Stocks, Pure Pony, Street Stocks, and Enduro.
Open Practice for the BAMA BASH is scheduled for Thursday February 28th. Qualifying and Heats will take place on Friday March 1st, with Consolation races and Features scheduled for Saturday March 2nd.
Once again the schedule will be split into an afternoon and evening session. This allows the local divisions to race in the afternoon session, and then track maintenance will take place before the three Late Model divisions take to the track at night. Information on times and what classes will be running are available on the front page of the website.
Fans are encouraged to bring their campers and stay the weekend as there will be plenty of FREE camping spots available at one of the most beautiful race track settings anywhere in the country!
Also, a new renovation at GVS for 2013 is the new back straightaway retaining wall. To help drivers get acclimated to the new changes there will be an open practice on Saturday February 16th. Gates will open at 3 P.M. with Practice from 5-9:30 P.M.
ATTENTION DRIVERS: Just a friendly reminder that early entry deadline is February 16th! Go ahead and get those entry forms in early to save you money when you arrive! Forms are available on the website!
