Leighton, Jr. wins at the Midwest Fall Brawl
Bill Leighton, Jr. picked up his second Malvernbank.com SLMR feature win of the season on Saturday, September 20 at the Midwest Fall Brawl at I-80 Speedway.
Bellevue’s Al Zeitner grabbed the initial lead of the race and led the first six circuits before the third-starting Bill Leighton, Jr. went to the point. Josh Krug moved into second on lap eight. Shortly, Justin Zeitner moved up to challenge Uncle Al and moved to third on lap 13. Hasting’s Justin Gregg started up front, fell back a bit at the start of the race but came on strong at the end taking over the second spot from Krug on lap 19.
Leighton, however was on cruise control and held on to score the win with Gregg second, Justin Zeitner third, Al Zeitner fourth and Tad Pospisil fifth.
