    Richmond Raceway Announces 2016 Division Rules Package

    Richmond, KY- December 8, 2015- Richmond Raceway track promoters Larry, Chad, and Sarah Yantz are pleased to announce the 2016 division rules package for all divisions that will compete at the 3/10 mile semi-banked red clay oval better known as “The Beast of the East” during the upcoming 2016 season.

    Of note, the Pro Late Model division will be combined with the Super Late Model division to form one Late Model division for the season. Also, there will be a completely revised payout for all divisions and these will be released shortly. Those drivers that compete at Richmond Raceway in 2016 in the Late Model division that utilize a Crate engine package will be eligible for a weekly money bonus each week, with the highest finishing driver using a Crate engine receiving an extra $100, with the second highest finishing driver that is using a Crate engine receiving an extra $75, while the third highest finishing racer using a Crate engine will receive an extra $50. Other rules including weight and tire rules are listed in the division rules section included at the end of the release.

    Body Rules: Lucas Oil or UMP
    Weight: Aluminum Block: 2300 lbs.; Steel Block (Including Sealed Crates): 2200 lbs. NO BURN-OFF, WEIGHT IS WITH DRIVER AT CONCLUSION OF RACE!!
    Spoiler: 8” Spoiler on all cars
    Tire Rule: (TIRE SAMPLES WILL BE TAKEN) (ABSOLUTELY NO ALTERING OF TIRES WITH CHEMICALS!)
    Front Tires: Any tire or manufacturer allowed –Open
    Rear Tires: Open Motors: Hoosier: 1300, 1350, 1600, LM20, & LM40; American Racer: 44, 48, & 56; Sealed Crate Motors: Hoosier: FT200, FT400, LSB21, LSB55, Crate 21, Crate 55, 1300, 1350, 1600, LM20, LM40, 1640, Spec D55; American Racer: Crate Spec 48, Crate Spec 56, 44, 48, 56 NOTE- Anyone found with chemically altered tires, will be suspended for 3 races and will lose all their points accumulated up to that race. Anyone found a 2nd time with chemically altered tires will be suspended for the remainder of the season. If a Tire Sample is taken from any car out of the “A”-Main, the drivers money will be held until the tire sample has cleared the lab.
    Carb & Fuel: Only 1 Carburetor permitted, naturally aspirated. Racing Fuel or Gas Only. (No Alcohol, Methanol, Nitrous)
    Misc: RACEceivers and Transponders are MANDATORY at all events.(Rentals are Available at track)
