After a one week delay the "King of the Cage" held court Friday night at Athison County Raceway. As usual the racing was tight on the high banked 1/8 mile raceway. As one of the winning drivers put it, you are up on the wheel the entire race here no rest.
The Hobby Stocks did crown their King Friday night, Kyle Rowlan came away with the honor as he led from green to checkered.
The Street Stocks ran one of two qualifying races for the final race Sunday. The first six Friday go automaticly go into the race Sunday the rest come back Sunday and do it all over again.
Saturday night will see the B-Mods And the Sport Compacts go at it in the cage. It really was not very chilly Friday with lows in the upper 50's at race time, if it is ok for football why not racing. Come on out to the King of the Cage at Atchison County Raceway, maybe the last racing of the year in the Kansas City area.
