After a brief shower Friday at 81 Speedway the Harold Leep Memorial came off without a hitch honoring one of the best modified, sprint drivers to race in the Midwest area. Many family and friends were on hand for the night as his wife received a plaque from 81 Speedway honoring Harold Leep who raced many laps at the speedway.
The featured event for the evening was the USAC Southwest Sprint Series. The series is on a four stop tour of the Midwest Racing in Oklahoma and Kansas.
With 24 wingless sprint cars on hand the race fans enjoyed a great night of open wheel racing on the historic 81 Speedway 3/8's mile dirt track.
Mike Martin came home the winner making the 3rd winner in so many nights. Enjoy.
