PINE HALL, NORTH CAROLINA – Matt Long of Concord, NC piloted his #55 Mello Yello machine to his first FASTRAK Racing Series victory of the season Monday night at 311 Motor Speedway. Long led all 40 laps of the $2,000 to win event, which concluded FASTRAK’s East Coast Rumble. Tyler Bare of Rockridge Baths, VA took home the East Coast Rumble championship belt after finishing fifth at Wythe Raceway and coming in fourth at 311 Motor Speedway.
Long was able to hold off the field after debris brought out the first caution on lap 23. Long kept the lead after the last restart as well. Jensen Ford and Benji Hicks, who were separated by one point for the East Coast Rumble heading into the race traded positions twice in the closing laps. Ford edged past Hicks with two laps remaining. However, Tyler Bare, running fourth, was able to clinch the mini-series championship.
