Lucas Oil Points battle is tightening up leading to Silver Dollar Nationals
With the Seventh Annual Silver Dollar Nationals just two weeks away, the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series point battle has really heated up. Scott Bloomquist has had issues lately and that has allowed by Josh Richards and Tim McCreadie to close th gap on Bloomer.
Heading into the Thursday, Jul8 race at the Fayetteville Speedway in North Carolina, Bloomquist's point lead is down to just 15 points. Bloomquist has 4,260 points followed by Richards at 4,245 and McCreadie 4,230.
The Lucas Oil Series has several more races before coming to I-80 Speedway for the $53,000 to win Silver Dollar Nationals but it looks like not only will they be battling for a lot of money but the race may have a big impact on the points race as well. The Silver Dollar Nationals at I-80 Speedway is July 20 thru 22.
