On another note, and I don't indicate anything by saying this but something that never got mentioned on here as far as I'm aware was the fact that Scott was originally supposed to race the weekend of his passing, at Batesville. He had cancelled that week. From memory, and I could be wrong but Scott had sort of pinned that as a race to really prepare for. I forget his name but that was from someone in the Bloomquist Fan FB group who was crewing for him. I remember thinking it was kind of weird he had cancelled.

He fully intended on running the race. He had already run Thursday and was competitive. He was called to the booth to piss said he’d be right back and loaded the car and left. You can make every excuse you want, but he straight skipped the drug test.

Haven't been to a track since I quit drinking. I used to watch standing at the opening behind the flag stand. There was a cool "security" guy always there keeping an eye on things while drinking beer. I used to buy him a couple beers. Are you familiar with him and know if he's still around?

He was at the peak of his rotator cuff injury. The night before he said the pain was unbearable during the feature and the following night was worse regarding track conditions. Scott knew he had to get surgery and would be out anyway + he doesn't race WoO.
