yes, the cars are strung out late in the race, but notice the cushion up close to the low concrete wall. They have a tall catch fence for "high flyers," which I have seen personally. Christopher Thram recently did a record-breaking 126 mph average on the three-eighths track. At 20-years- old he drives with no fear of concrete walls. Interesting that Terry McCarl ---number 24--had the previous record and Thram drives #24 I am anticipating many different grooves July 30-August 1 including the rim riders and constant searching for new grooves as the track changes. I hope the 100 lapper for $100,000 is not disappointing. Do you have any predictions for the late model winner or the top five ?
