Port Royal Cancelled for June 20
Due to the incoming storm system, Port Royal Speedway has cancelled the UFo “Tri-Star Sizzler†on June 20. Track officials are determining if a viable rain date will fit into the track’s remaining 2015 schedule.
The next UFo Championship event will be “Revolution 2015†at Hesston Speedway on Thursday, July 2. Super Late Models will race for $4,000 to win and $400 for 24th in an Area 51-lap feature. The Super Late Model feature starting grid will be determined by car count, with 33 cars seeing a 26 car starting field, 37 cars translating to a 28 car starting field and 41 cars making a 30 car starting field. Positions 25+ will pay $375. The Semi-Lates (limited/steel block/crate) will race for $1,000. E-mods will compete for $800. Cadets will race for $575 and Hobby-Modifieds will have a $300 first prize. The UFo “Sam Barley Championship†originally scheduled for Friday, July 3 at Dog Hollow has been moved to Friday, August 8.
The summer’s blockbuster event is less than two months away. UFo Super Late Models will race for a total of $12,000 possible to win in the “Mega-88†and Renegades of Dirt E-mods will race for $16,000 possible to win in the “Mega-100†at Tyler County Speedway on July 10-11. Each night will see a 44 lap, $5,000 to win, $300 to start feature event. The top 12 positions of Saturday’s feature will be determined by the finish of Friday’s feature, with an inverted start. Any driver that wins both features will collect at $2,000 bonus from ASi Racewear. Drivers who register early with the track will save $20 on the entry fee. Drivers who register early and make the features will be guaranteed $330 to start. Track contacts for early registration follow below.
