Dustin Strand Visits Victory Lane in Two Divisions

Grand Forks, North Dakota (08/08/16) – Dustin Strand spread the love to two different divisions over the weekend by winning in both his Millenium Chassis #71 Q&Z Plumbing & Heating Modified and RealTruck.com #71 Millenium Chassis Late Model.

After Mother Nature ruined his plans on Thursday evening at Red River Co-Op Speedway (Winnipeg, Manitoba), Dustin Strand traveled to River Cities Speedway (Grand Forks, North Dakota) on Friday night, competing in the WISSOTA Late Model division. Starting on the pole of his heat, Dustin cruised to a heat race win, which presented him with a fourth-row, starting spot for the feature. Wheeling his way through the lapped traffic in the closing circuits of the A-Main, Strand surged to his second-straight win and 10th overall on the season. Bill Mooney, Shane Edginton, Zach Naastad, and Mike Balcaen trailed Dustin across the finish line.

On Saturday night Dustin hopped behind the wheel of his Open Wheel Modified to compete at Devil’s Lake Speedway (Lakota, North Dakota). With 19 entries in action, Strand improved one position in his heat, scoring a heat race win. Starting in the 2nd spot for the A-Main, Dustin Strand stormed to his second win of the weekend and 11nth of the season. Mike Stearns, Travis Saurer, Ward Imrie, and Tyler Peterson rounded out the Top 5 at the checkered flag. Strand pocketed a $2,000 payday for his dominant performance in the feature event.

“This was a really fund weekend for our whole team,” commented Strand. “Anytime you can win in two divisions in two nights it’s been a good weekend. Our year may have started a little slower than we would’ve liked, but things are really ramping up here lately. Hopefully it keeps rolling this way!”
