left upper bar angle vs. drop

if i'm at 45 degrees on left upper at full drop but w/ say 4 1/2 inch drop from ride height to chain catching, am I good...or should take out some angle and/or roll back birdcage and induce more drop to get to the 45 degrees...thanks for any input

Depends on the rest of the chassis design and what you want to achieve but that's a pretty common general rule of thumb.
