    4412 or Quadrajet question

After few years off from racing I figured Id try it again. So Im building a new hobby stock motor over the winter 355 chevy flat tops camel hump heads. Or rules will let you run a 4412 with a torker2 manifold. Or stock cast iron( sorry no marine intakes) with the quadrajet.

Which one would be the best combo to run? I do plan to spend the money on a built carb no matter which combo I choose. So would a q-jet be better or the 4412. Also are there better flowing cast intake besides the marine to combo with the Q-jet.

    Thanks

Q-jet with an internally modified intake, block the heat riser. Way better then a stock 4412.

The difference is bigger than that. Don't forget 2 bbl carbs are measured with 3" of mercury vacuum to see 500 cfm...4 bbl are measured at 1 1/2" of vacuum...If you measured a 4412 at the same vacuum, it flows about 375 cfm vs. 750 for the Quadrajet...

How about the intake for the Q-jet. Does say corvette intake or Camaro intake out flow just a plain stocker say from a truck or they all pretty much the same?

Check with Stock Car Driver. He's posted an intake number on here that tested well a couple of times.
