Nice try on the Trump rainout!

You liberals will believe ANYTHING but the simple truth!

When President Donald Trump trashes the “fake news” media, it’s stories like these that completely reinforce his rhetoric.

In this particular case, it’s ABC News that is at fault. And to be clear, this is certainly not the first time ABC has been biased or misleading in their coverage of Trump.

But this might be one of the most egregious cases of ABC News letting its biases show.

As you might have heard by now, Trump’s cancellation of a trip to a World War I cemetery in France, where American soldiers were buried, caused all sorts of uproar from the president’s staunchest critics. (Warning: The offensive language is written in full in the original)

Of course, anti-Trump mainstream media outlets pounced on that narrative. NBC, for instance, headlined its story about it as a decision that “creates a storm of its own,”

Granted, the mainstream news outlets framed it as “look at all these people whose opinions we’re tacitly approving by reporting on it.” But even tacit approval or acknowledgement of opinions like the aforementioned tweets is distasteful at best — and not quite the unbiased journalism its being presented as.

To its credit, the AP did issue a correction, which ABC also posted.

“The story should have made clear that the Marine Corps and White House Military Office make the determination to ground the president’s helicopter due to bad weather. The military office then presents the recommendation to the White House in collaboration with the Secret Service,” the AP admitted in its correction.

So there you have it, all of this brouhaha over Trump’s cancellation of the trip to the World War I memorial should be a moot point.

As is clearly stated, the decision to cancel the trip was not Trump’s alone. It’s not a one-man call, it’s a decision made by multiple entities to ensure the safety of the president.

ABC News clearly didn’t feel that should’ve been the end of it though.

Notice the time stamp on the AP correction. It reads Nov. 11, 2018, 3:00 PM ET. Compare that to the time stamp of this ABC piece titled, “Trump’s rain check on honoring Americans killed in WWI prompts backlash.”

At the time of this publication, that time stamp still reads Nov. 11, 2018, 6:53 PM ET.

Nearly four hours after issuing a correction, ABC News still saw fit to run a blatantly misleading headline.

“Trump’s rain check” implies that this was his sole decision. Just hours earlier, ABC News literally published the AP piece acknowledging how misleading that narrative that was.

And yet they still saw fit to run that piece emboldening Trump’s critics with a misleading title.

Countless people undoubtedly read ABC News to get their updates on the world. That means countless people were being fed a patently false narrative by ABC News as well.

When Trump condemns the media as the “enemy of the people,” this is, quite literally, what he is talking about.

When Trump decided not to go to a World War I memorial outside Paris with other world leaders because of bad weather, he faced a torrent of criticism on Twitter and in the media. According to the report, Trump reacted angrily to his staff because they hadn't foreseen the backlash.

"Trump told aides he thought he looked 'terrible' and blamed his chief of staff’s office, and [deputy White House chief of staff Zachary D. Fuentes] in particular, for not counseling him that skipping the cemetery visit would be a public-relations nightmare," it said.

Trump's anger has also focused on election officials, particularly in Florida, where the ongoing recount has undermined the early reported victories of his allies Gov. Rick Scott and Ron DeSantis.
The most obvious source of Trump's continuous outpouring of anger is the devastating losses the GOP suffered in the 2018 midterms, even as the party has kept control of the Senate. Despite initial analyses suggesting that the blue wave had been a disappointment, as ballots continued to be counted, a consensus emerged that Democrats really had won a spectacular victory. Having claimed the elections as a personal triumph, Trump now looks weak and deluded.

But there's another possible source of his anger. Other reports have suggested that White House officials believe special counsel Robert Mueller is prepared to hand down more indictments soon in the Russia investigation — or perhaps unseal indictments that have already been filed with the court. Donald Trump Jr. is the subject of much speculation as a potential target of the investigation.

It's plausible that lurking possibility is weighing on Trump and increasing his stress levels — only compounded by his diminished standing after the midterms.
Haters don't really hate you, in fact they hate themselves because you are a reflection of what they wish to be.
