Remembering a friend

I lost a friend this week … We worked together years ago … I saw he had just retired last year on facebook …. I hadn't talked to him in a long while but thought of him quite often …. Frank ( dusty ) palmer was a sign painter / car guy all around nice guy from Northern Kentucky …. Yesterday would have been his first full year of ss / retirement … I heard he had some heart issues and had a new doctor he was waiting to see after this pandemic was over …. Sad to say this pandemic likely added to his stress …. No one really knows I guess …. I would have gone to his funeral today but we cant … Doesn't seem to matter now … I.ve been reading his familes facebook posts this am …. No words for them now …. His family asked to make a donation to your local dog shelter since frank loved animals … https://www.legacy.com/obituaries/nk...?pid=196018903

Bob, we don't know each other and I'm not familiar with your friend. But I certainly can empathize with you on losing a friend. We've all lost friends that weren't family but who we consider as close, or in some cases even closer, than some blood relatives.

It's even harder during this crisis since there can be no consoling of each other or saying goodbye in the time honored traditional ways. No closure, if you will.

You have my sincere condolences. Bob. I hope you can find comfort within your faith in whatever higher power you believe in. If you're not a believer in a higher power I sincerely hope you can find solace with whatever means you have at your spiritual disposal.

Bob I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. Prayers to you and his entire family and Friends. A sign painter. that's some skill right there now they just use vinyl but, nothing like good ole fashion sign painting by hand.

I just found out about a guy that I worked around at the capitol building just passed away. I was in shock because, I just reconnected with the guy on facebook about 2 weeks ago and we had a great conversation and was glad to catch up. He would always to go out of his way to say hi. You couldn't meet a nicer guy. Funny thing he was a union painter and now I started a painting and drywall business. I don't know Bob's friend but, I bet we could have talked paint lol.

No it was not, Their not sure at this point but, speculation is heart attack. Like I said I just talked to him a couple of weeks ago and he was doing great and enjoying his retirement and never mentioned anything But, Tom wasn't one to say much about things that were bothering him. I've ask another guy that knew him and he said he doesn't know anything either. Just really sad for his wife and kids.
