In fact, they've already "advised" Obama what will happen.

Nobody is cherry picking. It's all right there. Read it.

The PEOPLE should have as much as possible to do with anything the government does. The last time the people "spoke" in an election we chose to kick out democrats and give the majority to Republicans in the Senate and the House to ward off a lawless President. With this President on his way out the door, it is perfectly within the Senates rights to hold off on a confirmation hearing.

If the people are dumb enough to vote in a Democrat to the Presidency then the Supreme court will more than likely swing to the liberal side. But, at least the people will have had somewhat of a say.
That's fine when Obama nominates someone then for the record they can do just that but, some to say Obama should not even nominate someone is just ridiculous. Which some have said by the way. As far as I'm concerned they even have hearings and not confirm the nominee.

And yes some were cherry picking

in case you have not noticed, this has become an activist court. The Supremes are suppose to interpret the law, right? Well the liberal part of the court is all about loop holes and liberal speak. Another liberal judge, the Church and the 1st and 2nd amendment are going to be rewritten. Liberal speak.

Obama has every right to select someone, just as the republican controlled congress has the right NOT to confirm his choice. Republicans in control best not screw it up, and bend over once again and confirm his pick. Republicans will have to vote for conformation to confirm his pick. Plain and simple. Yes America spoke in 2012 for Obama, but you cant forget 2014 American's spoke again, and made the senate republican. Is it gonna be nasty, is the media, once again gonna cover for liberal and progressive idea's. YEP/ I left out democrats, because there are only a few true democrats left in DC. Same goes for conservatives. Progressive politics and ideas are what are hurting and harming our country. And to be progressive is not specific to democrats or republicans, both can be.
Also its a (not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word) shame Obama is not going to his funeral. Disrespectful as well. Don't give me Biden is going. Obama is the President of United States, how about he do something, for the Office, for once, and not himself.

It doesn't matter who the President nominates it's his right you know his constitutional right.
So what your saying is the Dems did the right thing when they confirmed Reagans nominee but, yet the repubs are saying they won't confirm Obamas so, really the Dems are worse then the repubs.
