    Default Cooling issues

What would cause me to be pushing water out at 180 degrees? It keeps pushing water out till the water is too low and then it runs hot. It does the same thing every week. It shouldn't be pushing water no hotter than that so im wondering what would be causing it? Thanks in advance on any ideas.

I would say head gasket as problem #1 or a faulty temp gauge which would bring other problems into question. What is the rating on the radiator cap?

How old is the cap and has it been cooked? If it is over a year old or has been run hot I would replace it.

Thanks for all the ideas. I've tried 3 different gauges, and I've changed the radiator cap 3 times.

NAPA sells a unit that you remove the rad. cap and place this over the cap area and if it changes color it indicates combustion in the water. May save a tear down.
Fought the same thing for about 2 weeks. Bad head.
