CARTERSVILLE, GA – Week 25 of the 27 Week 2015 NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series season will feature six races. One race was completed on Monday night at Flomaton Speedway in Flomaton, AL, where Shep Lucas of McKenzie, AL drove the Lucas Farms Special to his second win of the season in the NeSmith Panhandle Challenge Series event.

NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series Week 25 competition begins on Friday night at Hattiesburg Speedway in Hattiesburg, MS. Saturday night action will be highlighted by a $1,000-to-win race at Jackson Motor Speedway in Jackson, MS.

Also in action with Week 25 NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series events will be Battleground Race Park in Highlands, TX, Camden Speedway in Camden, TN, and Greenville Speedway in Greenville, MS.

Michael Arnold of Hattiesburg, MS has clinched the 2015 NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series $10,000 National Championship, but the second through tenth points fund-paying positions are still up for grabs in the final three weeks of the season. Mike Palasini Jr. of Leland, MS is second with 693 points and he will be trying to net on a 48.

Sunoco Young Guns Challenge Series point leader, 14-year-old Cruz Skinner of Oxford, AL is third in the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series standings with 689 points and he will be trying to net on a 47. The Sunoco Young Guns Challenge Series is a special point fund paying back ten spots for NeSmith Late Model drivers 18 years of age and younger.

Robbie Starnes of Livingston, TX is fourth in the standings with 687 points and he will be trying to net on a 48. The 2013 NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series National Champion Noah Daspit of Kiln, MS is fifth in the standings with 685 points, and he will be trying to net on a 45. Greg Fore of Greenville, MS is sixth with 679 points and he will try to net on a 45.

Shannon Lee of Lumberton, MS is seventh in the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series standings with 675 points and he will try to net on a 47. Joseph Joiner of Milton, FL is eighth with 668 points, and the NeSmith Panhandle Challenge Series point leader will be trying to net on a 46.

Cole Daffron of Pell City, AL is ninth in the standings with 654 points and he will be trying to net on a 45. The 17-year-old driver is second in the Sunoco Young Guns Challenge Series point standings. Bobby Jordan of McCarley, MS rounds out the top ten in the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series standings with 649 points, and he will be trying to net on a 41.

Two drivers just outside the Top 10 of the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series point standings are Jamey Boland of Cuba, AL and Kevin Sitton of Baytown, TX. Boland is 11th with 643 points and he will be trying to net on a 41. If he can score a 50-point win, it would bring his best 14 week total up to 652 points.

Sitton is 13th in the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series standings with 627 points, and he still has one more week to earn full points. A 50-point win for Sitton would give him a 14 week total of 677 points, and that would put him solidly in the Top 10 of the standings.

Drivers in the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series will compete against each other nationally using a points system that will count their best 14 weekly point totals over a 27-week season from March 23 through September 27. The $20,000 National point fund will pay $10,000 to the National Champion and pay back to the Top 10 drivers in the final point standings.
