Pull Bar Spring, Pre-load and Location?
900 to 1200 Hyperco, how much pre-load is typical?
Also, i changed the QC Plates to Wehrs models, the stock one had no movement available. Anyway, what does 1" ahead of axle, and 1" behind do for ya?
Pierce Platinum, UMP tires. Generally tight in, and lose off. Been messing with droop load, and RF spring to no avail. Pulled the pull bar out and found it was pre-loaded a lot, and was mounted biased towards the LR tire, a lot LOL.
Centered it, and now wondering about the mounting, also have a 3" behind CL option to mount to now.
Been a few years out of the Mod game, so thanks for any help.

front of axle CL gains angle, and continues to pull into spring on wrap up
behind CL loses angle and rolls out of spring on wrap up.
first thing i would do is soften LF spring.
or take out a bit of castor on lf so it doesnt jack as much load in RR on entry
I think there should be lifeguards in the genepool.

I don't believe I would be looking at pullbar to address entry issues. LF spring, lead placement, j-bar, RR lower bar angle, stagger,

Right, just threw that in there was really looking at the lose off with the pull bar issue.
I ended up pre-loading the spring about 5/8s inch, and it was compressing the spring about 2 1/4"
Next is the tight in, and its not much, so i am changing the LF spring like JAD said above, dropping 75lbs in rate to big of a swing? Its not bad now but he is telling me he has to brake it etc to get it in.
Car is finally coming around, and getting better, its been a handful.

I think 75 is a good start.

you have 2 1/4"pullbar movement?
that is an awful lot.
I liked staying in the 1 1/2 area. too much movement really messes with the j bar location on rear end, and can cause a lot of undesirable handling issues

Yeah, i added pre-load to 7/8s (7" spring compressed to 6 1/8s) and it cut it down to about 1 3/4's so i am gonna tight it up to 1" pre-load and get down a little more.
Ended up going to a lighter LF spring, that helped, but still need to be a little loser, so gonna tight up with LF tether a 1/2" or so. I made it adjustable. Just a little more free on entry i think will help with keeping the speed.
